Playground Programs
This summer, the department is staffing each of the five playgrounds listed below with two instructors who will supervise all kids in group activities. The goal of the program is to teach kids to be kids while playing with kids! Our playgrounds will give kids between the ages of 6 and 13 the chance to participate in multiple group games (softball, basketball, Fenway, whiffleball, and kickball, to name a few) and craft activities (such as gimp and picture pins). Quiet game activity is also scheduled each day, especially during hot weather periods. Group special events, and individual game activities will be planned as well.
